A question to Christians about the Great Flood?
Question by JC: A question to Christians about the Great Flood?
Even back when I was a Christian I doubted the historical accuracy of the Great Flood for several reasons, but here is just one of those. If the Great Flood happened then how did all of these animals get where they are today? According to the story Noah and co. all landed in one spot (presumably somewhere near what we call Israel today) because that is where just about everything else in the Bible happened.Christianity - (Non-Denom) Full Gospel

So how is it that we have non-aquatic animals all over the world how do we have marmosets in South America, gorillas in Africa, and orangutans in India? How did the gila monster get to southwestern North America? And in fact how can we have Amerindians and Aztecs and Mayans? The technology for a boat that would be able to get from Europe or Africa to the Americas wasn't invented until the 15th Century. So how can there be animals and peoples so far away from what the Bible claims to be the only animals left in the world?

I don't think it happeend like that…
The great flood probably happened where all the people alive were living…
So that maybe 1% of the world was covered but it was all of the world because only 1% of the world's geography had people alive at the time.
